ERWAN ISRAËL has been chosen by Charles Caudrelier to be his co-skipper n the next edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre; in addition, Benjamin Schwartz and Julien Villion, who recently sailed on the trimaran, will be part of the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild’s routing team in the Arkea Ultim Challenge.
PIERRE LE ROY will be Benjamin Ferré’s co-skipper this season aboard Monnoyeur-Duo for a Job on the Imoca circuit, the following year he will be the boat captain of the boat. CORENTIN DOUGUET will be the co-skipper of Fabien Delahaye in Class40 under the colors of Legallais, ANTOINE JOUBERT that of Luke Berry on the Ocean Fifty Le Rire Médecin-Lamotte. And DAMIEN SEGUIN, will accompany Sam Davies aboard Initiatives Coeur in the Guyader Bermudes 1000 Race.
OLLIVIER BORDEAU, after two years at Multiplast, joined the Charal Sailing Team as head of the design office.
DIMITRI DERUELLE has just been hired as FOP manager of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, coordinator of the competition area for sailing events in Marseille. He also calls for volunteers, on land or at sea.
ANTOINE MERMOD was re-elected president of Imoca on Thursday during the general assembly of the class. Kevin Escoffier, Thomas Ruyant and Philippe Laot were elected to the board of directors, joining Greg Evrard, Clarisse Crémer, Arnaud Boissières and Boris Herrmann.

THE PRO SAILING TOUR has formalized the dates for its 2023 edition, with three legs across La Seyne-sur-Mer, Bonifacio, Alghero (Sardinia) and Brest between May 7 and 27. Five boats will take part: Koesio (Erwan Le Roux), Solidaires en Peloton–ARSEP (Thibaut Vauchel-Camus), Viabilis Océans (Pierre Quiroga), the former GCA-1001 Sourires Group (Christopher Pratt) and Le Rire Médecin-Lamotte Immobilier (Luke Berry).
SAM GOODCHILD and the TR Racing team unveiled the British skipper’s Imoca (the former LinkedOut), For The Planet, echoing Thomas Ruyant’s new boat For People.

TRANSAT JACQUES VABRE: ten Virtual Regatta players are still in the running for the Du Virtuel au Réel selection launched by the organisation; the winner, known at the end of a week of tests from May 8 to 13 in Le Havre, will physically compete in the Transat Jacques Vabre alongside Kieran Le Borgne in Class40.
THE MIRPURI FOUNDATION SAILING TROPHY will welcome six classes for its fourth edition in Cascais (July 7-9), including the Finns for the first time.
THE MUSÉE NATIONAL DE LA MARINE has signed a partnership with the Vendée Globe, under which a temporary exhibition devoted to ocean racing and the Vendée Globe will be held from autumn 2024 until the end of the 10th edition.
YANNICK BESTAVEN, Vendee Globe winner, suffered a fractured collarbone and a few broken ribs following a fall while cycling and so has had to give up racing on the Guyader Bermudes 1000 Race at the beginning of May. He will be replaced aboard Maître CoQ alongside Julien Pulvé by Jean-Marie Dauris, technical and sports director of the team.
